Securing your Booking

After your initial enquiry, and providing that I am available for your requested date, a £60 deposit is required to secure my services.

Please use your name as a reference.

Once paid, the deposit can be refunded up to 7 days after the trial if the client does not wish to go ahead with the booking.

If the client decides to cancel before the trial has taken place, the deposit will not be refunded.

The deposit of £70 paid by the client is taken off of the final wedding day fee.

Payment

Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash.

I will send you an email or message around a week before your trial with the location details and payment information to pay for your trial.

The remaining balance should be paid for at least 14 days before the date in subject, or if cash, on the day of the wedding (only in certain circumstances). The client who made the booking is responsible for full and final settlement of the total amount payable. Again, an email or message will be sent usually at the beginning of the month of your wedding with your final invoice and schedule.

Wedding bookings between the months of March and October on Fridays & Saturdays require a minimum booking of 3 services. If numbers drop below 3 after the deposit has been paid, the minimum spend of £310 will still be charged. (Bride +2 Bridal Party) Only a certain number of weddings can be taken on in one year which is why a minimum spend is in place. Weddings taking place during the months of January, February, October and December are excused, no minimum spend is applied.

Travel & other charges

The prices quoted include travel within a 10 mile radius of Chatteris. A charge of 55p per mile will be added outside of this area, including the return journey.

The client will cover any necessary travel expenses including, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges. If parking is limited please make sure you let me know in advance, as this could cause delays.

If there is a change of venue on the wedding morning (due to venue only opening the bridal suite at a certain time for eg) a fee of £20 per artist will be added to the final balance, this is to cover the time to pack up, drive to another location and another set up, as this will probably mean an earlier start time.

If an assistant is required due to an early ceremony or high numbers of people, there is an additional fee of £25 fees plus their quoted travel. A further deposit of £50 is also required to secure the assistant so they can secure your date in their diary.

If numbers drop and the assistant is no longer required, this deposit will be lost.

Trials

Trials are held at my studio in Chatteris (address given at later date), these can be arranged to suit you, but they are predominately to be done on a weekday, client and makeup artist agree to be flexible. Read more over on FAQ's.

Cancellations

If for any unfortunate reason you need to cancel your booking, this should be made aware to me 12 weeks before the wedding date. Any less and you will need to pay 50% of the remaining balance.

If you need to cancel your wedding with only 4 weeks or less notice, 80% of the final balance will need to be paid to cover my lack of earnings as it will be unlikely with short notice I will be able to re-book.

In the very unlikely event that I cannot honour my commitment to attend your booking, every effort will be made to supply an alternative artist and a full refund will be given.

If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the makeup artist, (including COVID related) every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist's part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.

Client Responsibility

The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client's failure to inform the artist of any known condition. The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.

Photography

By agreeing to the terms and conditions you are allowing me to use any photographs taken in my portfolio, website and all other publicity material including social media platforms. If you wish to opt out of this term, please let me know in writing.

I confirm no photos from your wedding day will be posted until after the day.

Exclusivity

Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the event, therefore timings will be seriously considered when agreeing to any booking. It is unlikely that there will be another event on the day; and any second event undertaken by the makeup artist will not affect the first event. An exclusivity fee can be arranged if preferred.

Data Protection

Your details will be kept in my records for correspondence but will never be passed on to any third party.
