Many brides choose to coordinate their hair and makeup trials on the same day, schedule them alongside a dress fitting, or plan a day out so they can make the most of their makeup. This also gives you an opportunity to see how the makeup wears throughout the day and looks in different lighting—be sure to take plenty of photos! For weddings taking place in March, April, or May, June trials are generally scheduled in January, February, or March and can usually be arranged on weekends if preferred. However, once wedding season begins in April/May, trials are held on weekdays (currently Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays) as weekends are fully booked.

No not at all! If you've seen enough from my pictures and videos and happy to have me just turn up on the day, this is fine. Just make sure you've got a good idea of the look you are after!

Bring visuals of makeup inspiration, photos of your dress, colour theme etc. Working with images eliminates potential miscommunication with your makeup vision. Try and save pictures from my instagram or other makeup artists pages rather than Pinterest as the images on their are usually highly edited.​ You can of course also bring someone along with you to your trial, they are quite fun to watch!

No, bridal party members are not required to have a trial. However, it can be reassuring—especially for mums or anyone who feels a bit nervous about having their makeup done by someone new. A trial can help them feel more comfortable and confident ahead of the big day.

Your trial is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss all the details of your wedding, including final numbers and your morning schedule. We’ll talk through your usual makeup style, the bridal look you’d like to achieve, and anything you specifically want to avoid. This helps ensure the final look feels perfectly “you.” For the best results, please arrive with clean, moisturised skin so we can begin right away. It’s also helpful to wear a light-coloured outfit, as darker or everyday clothing can make it harder to visualise the finished bridal look. You may also wish to lightly style your hair. This helps create a clearer picture of how everything will come together on your wedding day.

Bridal trials typically last between 90 minutes and 2 hours. If bridal party members are having a trial as well, please allow an additional 60 minutes per person. For group trials, I accommodate a maximum of three people in one session. If more than three members of your bridal party would like a trial, they will need to be scheduled under a separate booking.

That’s absolutely fine. If you feel we’re not the right fit, just let me know. You have up to 7 days after your trial to decide whether you’d like to continue with your booking. If you choose to cancel within this period, your deposit will be refunded. Please note that the trial is charged separately and is non-refundable.

This depends on several factors, including your ceremony time, total numbers, when we can access the venue, and how early you’re happy to start. Once I have all the details, I can determine whether an assistant is needed to ensure everyone is ready on time. If an additional makeup artist is required, a separate deposit will be needed to secure your date in their diary. Yes—on wedding days I travel to you at your chosen location. For trials and occasion makeup appointments, I usually work from my studio in Chatteris to ensure I have everything set up for the best possible experience. However, if you are local or booking as part of a group, I may be able to travel to you. This can be arranged, it just depends on the circumstance.

I use a wide range of professional makeup brands in my kit, including NARS, Hourglass, Dior, Charlotte Tilbury, and Too Faced, among many others. If you have a particular product that you love and know works well for you—such as a foundation or concealer—you’re welcome to bring it to your appointment. While I have an extensive selection of shades and finishes, I understand that sometimes it’s best to use the products you know and trust.

I can provide either strip or individual lashes that will last throughout your big day. If you usually have your lashes done professionally, that’s absolutely fine too! If you’d like a little lift without wearing lashes, a lash lift by a beautician is a great option. Just a heads-up though - I won’t be able to add extra lashes on top after an lvl because of the natural curvature of the lash.
